HORIBA UK, a leading provider of innovative automotive testing solutions, sought to expand its Portable Emissions Measurement Systems (PEMS) offering. The company recognized a growing demand for accurate, reliable fuel consumption measurement tools, particularly for low-flow scenarios in high-efficiency engines, and wanted to explore compact measurement solutions ahead of Euro 7 emissions requirements. However, traditional fuel flow meters were often bulky, heavy, and required significant vehicle modifications, hindering their suitability for on-road testing.

Sentronics' FlowSonic® LF, a compact, vibration-tolerant flow meter that could be directly installed in vehicle’s engine bays with minimal integration requirements, proved to be the ideal fit.
By working with Sentronics to adapt an their existing FlowSonic® LF low flow meter to create the RealFlow, HORIBA UK could streamline their product development process and accelerate the launch of their new PEMS testing solution. This collaboration with Sentronics enabled HORIBA UK to maintain their position as an industry leader by offering cutting-edge products to their customers.

The result

By repackaging the advanced technology of the FlowSonic® LF to produce the RealFlow and incorporating this into their PEMS systems, HORIBA UK was able to rapidly deliver a proven product that offered more comprehensive and accurate testing solution to their customers.
