A better way to measure Aviation Fuel Flow

The FlowSonic® Aviation Fuel Flow Meter is a development product that leverages Sentronics’ unique patented technology to improve flight safety, develop sustainable fuel strategies, and help to work towards a more sustainable future for the aviation market.

By measuring the flow of fuel between wings around a commercial aeroplane allows engineers and pilots to divert fuel from leaks mid-flight to preserve fuel.

Solid-State Technology

With no moving parts, the FlowSonic® Aviation Fuel Flow Meter doesn’t suffer from blockages in fuel lines, obstructions or bearing wear which is vital for aircraft, Current fuel consumption in the aerospace industry is often measured with turbines, metering valves or other mechanical methods with may be impacted by mechanical wear and therefore accuracy drift.

Robust Titanium Alloy Construction

The FlowSonic® Aviation Fuel Flow Meter is engineered to perform during the harsh environmental conditions that aeroplanes endure and is compatible with a variety of high temperature jet fuel, including Jet-A. With semi-remote electronics for convenient placement in cooler locations, the fuel flow meter is built to last and is capable of operating across a temperature range of -53°C to +143°C. The aviation fuel flow meter is calibrated across the wide temperature range specifically in the intended fuel choice.
